Each tidbit is just the
beginning for your
Kitchen Table Classroom.

Fill your plate!

Cut a rectanglular piece of burlap (an old potato sack fits the bill!) and fold over the top and bottom edges sewing pockets so that branches can be inserted.

Now go for a naturewalk, collecting a variety of plants, bark types, branches, cones, etc., looking for different textures, colours and shapes. Arrange and weave these materials into the burlap to create an interesting effect.

Hang your nature picture by braiding or twisting burlap strands together (about 1 1/2 times the width of the hanging), and attach the ends to the top branch.
